We are almost at the halfway mark and making good progress toward our goal. Please help continue to get the word out -- we'd love to work on the audio book stretch goal.

And in the spirit of Halloween, here are a couple of other current Kickstarters worth checking out:

Follow the Leader

"Three characters lose their senses of sight, hearing and speech. After waking up in an abandoned mall, they realize they are not alone. They must learn how to survive, how to trust each other, and if they even should trust each other."

This project is also out of Kansas City -- it's a classic horror flick (think Twilight Zone meets Alfred Hitchcock). Love the concept that the protagonists each lost a sense and must work together to survive.

---

Queer Ghost Hunters

"A fascinating and funny docuseries about a real team contacting LGBT ghosts. They are unearthing hidden history about lost queer lives."

Packaged as a funny web-series parody of ghost hunting shows, Queer Ghost Hunters uses paranormal investigation as a unique way to uncover real, fascinating, and often sad stories of LGBT history. This aint your dad's ghost hunting show!

Thanks again to all of our supporters -- and happy Halloween!

Off to a good start.

Thank you to all of our early backers. Just a couple days into the campaign and we are already more than a third away to our minimum goal.

Two of the name-a-character rewards have been claimed. So if you are considering one of these rewards, they may not last long!

Authors spend a lot of time asking for reviews, and it is a lot of fun when an unsolicited positive review comes in. When They Come Calling received this review from an Amazon purchaser yesterday:

"Ms. Mountford has the enviable talent of making the impossible perfectly believable. Her characters are real; we care about what happens to them. Her plot moves along at an exciting pace, yet there is time for description; we can see the rooms and the outdoor scenes, and feel wet and chilled or nervous right along with the characters. And best of all, there is at least one sequel coming soon! Who could ask for more?"

(we agree!)

Let's keep things going—

We're off to a great start, but need to keep the momentum going, especially if we want to reach the audio-book stretch goals. Please share this project on social media—just click one of the "Share" buttons below the main campaign video. Or here is a link to a Facebook post you can share.

Thanks again!
